Interfaith Seminar: A Philosophy of the Heart

Lecture, discussion, contemplative exercises

This seminar -- an experience of heart-based philosophy -- uses the story of Becoming Me as a means to develop interfaith understanding. Marty takes each short phrase, one at a time, and gives a short talk about its meaning, drawing on ideas, stories, and poetry from different faiths. Participants are invited to share their own experiences, stories, and poems, and their understanding of their own tradition. Meanwhile, one of Chris Gilvan-Cartwight's images is projected as a focus for contemplation. Moving through the story, in this collaborative way, we develop a personal understanding of the common themes of different faiths.

The Cosmic Playpen™

Lecture, theatre games, discussion, breathwork

This workshop is an experiential 'plunge' into the process of cosmic play. Through chanting, breathwork, theatre games, and clowning we explore how all of creation is the loving play of consciousness. This workshop helps us appreciate how all aspects of life--our joy and sadness, our success and failure, our spiritual heights and personal depths--are all part of the play.
